Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Construction Grade Foreman to lead grading crews in Hampton Roads, VA. The role emphasizes safe, efficient project delivery, planning, and daily supervision of field staff.

You will coordinate crews, equipment, and schedules, ensuring adequate labor and timely reporting. The position requires strong communication, blueprint-reading ability, and a valid driver's license for site access and operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction foreman.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools for highway and road construction and asphalt paving.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a positive driving record.
• Ability to access military bases.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction work according to plans.
• Assign and supervise daily activities of construction personnel.
• Coordinate and schedule trucks and equipment to job site.
• Ensure labor and other resources are adequate.
• Supervise and train workers.
• Prepare and maintain required reports.
• Assist the Project Superintendent with daily records, events, and conditions.
• Plan, assign and direct work; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Prepare assessment of any damages and arrange for necessary preparations.
• Review, verify and submit timecards to payroll.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
