Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Patient Recruitment and Retention Execution Manager to lead a team responsible for delivering recruitment, retention, and site engagement solutions across the clinical trial portfolio. The role reports to the Director of Patient Recruitment and Retention Execution within the Patient Insights and Recruitment organization.

You will lead a team, set priorities, manage resources, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement in recruitment strategies, timelines, and risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years of patient recruitment/retention experience in CRO or pharma.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Strong vendor oversight, KPI monitoring, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed clinical development environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Recruitment & Retention Delivery Leads; set priorities and operating standards.
• Manage resource planning, onboarding, performance feedback, and employee development.
• Oversee delivery of patient recruitment, retention, and site engagement tactics across studies and programs.
• Ensure plans, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation activities are actionable.
• Communicate status, insights, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and study teams.
