Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution preferred.
• Two years healthcare billing/office experience, hospital billing preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients while maintaining customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead the Patient Accounting Representative team under supervisor guidance.
• Escalate issues with patients, guarantors and third parties to resolve balances.
• Assess payment options, including payment plans and financial assistance.
• Document all activity in patient accounting systems with accuracy.
