Job summary

The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in New York is seeking a Chef Instructor to deliver our award‑winning education and mentor students and peers. As a senior instructor, you will model professionalism and inspire culinary excellence in both hospitality and education contexts.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or higher, seven years culinary or pastry with supervisory responsibilities, and college‑level teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.
• Seven years culinary or pastry and baking experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• College‑level teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and guide aspiring culinary professionals to find their culinary voice.
• Train faculty curriculum mastery and teaching skills as required.
• Represent ICE for on-campus events such as open houses, demonstrations, and special events.
• Conduct in-classroom demonstrations as required by curriculum.
• Deliver clear, concise and organized lectures both in-person and online.
• Assess student and faculty performance through observation and examinations.
• Ensure classes are conducted in a manner that complies with food safety and sanitation.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Attend meetings and faculty orientation as required.
• Other duties as required.
