Job summary

LivingWaters Church in Lakeville, Minnesota, seeks a Lead Pastor to shepherd elders, staff, and the faith family. The role centers on casting vision, pastoral care, and equipping the church to fulfill its mission in the local community.

The successful candidate will model elder-level character, lead in preaching and shepherding, and develop leadership pathways while collaborating with the Elder Board to guard the church’s values and ministry initiatives.

Qualifications

• Vibrant, mature walk with Jesus Christ and elder qualifications.
• Commitment to prayer and personal spiritual formation.
• Demonstrated gifting in leading, preaching, shepherding, and teaching.
• People-oriented with strong relational skills.
• Unreserved agreement with doctrinal statements and vision.
• Value diversity and multi-cultural ministry.
• M. Div. or equivalent from an accredited Bible college or seminary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cast vision for the church, ministry, and mission to advance the Gospel.
• Build mature believers within a Gospel-centered environment.
• Develop a strategic plan with staff and leaders to implement the vision.
• Lead, mentor, and guide staff for day-to-day ministry.
• Foster a church culture that prioritizes outreach and evangelism.
• Serve on the Elder Board and coordinate ministry initiatives.
• Preach weekly with expository, verse-by-verse focus.
• Provide pastoral care, weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
