Job summary

New Harmony Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to serve as the primary preaching Elder, teacher, and spiritual leader, guiding the congregation in Scripture, disciple-making, evangelism, worship, and servant leadership.

The role reports to the Board of Elders and works with Staff Elders to lead all church meetings, cast vision, and collaborate on ministry strategy while upholding doctrinal faith and church bylaws.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates biblical qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
• Ordained or ordainable by a Southern Baptist church; a biblical degree from an accredited evangelical seminary is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead as preaching Elder, ensuring other Elders have opportunities to preach.
• Serve as Staff Elder and collaborate with the plurality of Elders.
• Lead all Elder, Staff, and Church meetings; set agendas and ensure transparency.
