Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; working toward or already holding a Master of Divinity or Master of Theology from an accredited seminary is preferred.
• A doctoral degree, completed or in progress, is a plus.
• Five or more years of vocational ministry experience which includes preaching; prior senior pastor experience is preferred.
• Beyond years served, he should have strength in leadership, relationships, and discipleship.
• He is someone who has shown he can inspire generous stewardship in a congregation and navigate conflict well.

Responsibilities

• Give preaching the largest share of his time, followed closely by pastoral care and staff leadership.
• Play an active role in the church’s vision and long-range planning.
• Take responsibility for how well the staff works together and performs.
• Stay active in the community and keep working alongside other local churches and ministries.
• Collaborate on worship planning.
• Shepherd the whole congregation, across every generation.
• Help lead our church toward stronger relationships within the congregation, reaching young people and families, and strengthening our existing ministries.
• Lead collaboratively, seeking input from committees and the congregation rather than leading alone.
