Job summary

Pleasant View Baptist Church in White Bird, Idaho, is seeking a passionate Pastor to lead a small congregation of about 30 families. The role focuses on preaching, shepherding, evangelism, and teaching the full counsel of God’s Word.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate godly character, sound doctrine, and a heart for outreach, providing care and guidance to families while partnering with church leaders. Housing is provided with utilities included.

Seeking Shepherd for Our Flock in White Bird, Idaho

Pleasant View Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist church in the picturesque town of White Bird, Idaho, is prayerfully seeking a passionate and dedicated Pastor to lead our congregation. We are a close-knit community of approximately 30 families who value faith, fellowship, and service. We are seeking a Southern Baptist pastor who aligns with our core values and theological convictions.

Our ideal candidate:

• A Godly Character: Above reproach and blameless in conduct — a man of integrity, self-control, and a strong testimony both in the church and community. Has a clear testimony about their salvation and how God led them to become a pastor.
• Sound Doctrine: Able to teach and preach the full counsel of God’s Word verse by verse with clarity and conviction, holding firmly to biblical truth. Preaches that Christ is the only way and how God wants Christians to live; practices what he preaches.
• A Shepherd’s Heart: A humble, gentle, hospitable shepherd with true compassion for people from all walks of life who loves, visits the sick, prays with families, cares for the hurting, and builds relationships.
• A Heart for Evangelism and Disciple-Making: Passionate about reaching White Bird with the gospel, sharing faith, training disciples, and equipping the church.
• A Clear Vision with Patience: Communicates a biblical vision, listens before leading, loves the church as it is, and pursues change through prayer, preaching, and relationships.
