Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is hiring to supervise the Heavy Construction Parts department and lead order processing, parts handling, and customer service activities. You may also assist with sales and marketing tasks, and occasionally operate forklifts or light trucks.

Strong communication and organizational skills are required. The role requires either an associates degree or at least five years of parts operations experience, with familiarity of Caterpillar equipment preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or minimum of 5 years previous parts operations experience.
• Product knowledge of trucks, engines, and Caterpillar equipment preferred.
• Self-starter with good time management and detail orientation.
• Ability to train hydraulic hose assemblies.
• PC literacy with DBSI/SiS Web knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the Heavy Construction Parts department.
• Oversee customer and service staff order processing and parts handling.
• Handle customer service, sales, and marketing responsibilities.
• Occasionally operate forklift or pickup truck as needed.
• Maintain inventory and perform administrative duties.
• Assist with parts counter functions and backorder analysis.
