Job summary

Global Turf Equipment in San Antonio, FL, is seeking a Lead Parts & Inventory Specialist to own daily parts operations and warehouse inventory. This hands-on role blends customer service, parts identification, and stock control to keep repairs moving smoothly.

You will work closely with service technicians, vendors, and customers, maintaining accurate records, managing backorders, and ensuring timely delivery of parts and supplies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience is required.
• 3+ years in parts, inventory, warehouse ops, or similar.
• Experience with inventory management, shipping and receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Experience identifying and ordering mechanical or equipment parts preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person.
• Comfortable using computers, inventory systems, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn manufacturer parts systems and online catalogs.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Dependable with limited supervision.
• Self-starter who takes ownership and follows through.
• Experience with commercial turf or golf equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for parts customers by phone, email, and in person.
• Assist customers and technicians with identifying the correct parts.
• Use manuals, diagrams, catalogs to identify parts.
• Prepare parts quotes and process customer orders.
• Order parts from manufacturers and outside vendors as needed.
• Monitor open orders, backorders, and special-order parts.
• Communicate order status and delivery dates to customers and team.
• Work closely with service technicians to ensure needed parts are available.
• Develop relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturer reps.
• Help provide high level customer service throughout the parts-ordering process.
