UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a Parking Lead who will supervise valet attendants, customer service ambassadors, cashiers and parking enforcement staff. Under the Parking Manager, you will direct daily operations, assign weekly tasks, and act as an ambassador for Transportation programs.

Under general supervision of the Parking Manager/Supervisor, the Parking Lead acts as work leader for a variety of job functions within the Transportation Department, including valet attendants, customer service ambassadors, cashiers, and parking enforcement officers.
Incumbent will act in accordance with departmental procedures and standards for daily operations, as set forth in the Transportation Services Operation manual, and also serve as an ambassador or greeter for Transportation programs and services as needed. The position is responsible for the daily job activities of staff in the Parking Representative series, ensuring operations run effectively and efficiently each business day. Work may be required at any assigned UCSF location on short notice and overtime as needed.
Ensure effective and efficient daily operations by issuing directives, adjusting work schedules, opening and closing operations, managing supplies, auditing lunch/break adherence, coordinating special projects, assigning weekly assignments, addressing operational issues, and providing conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with all department and university policies and procedures, reporting issues or problems to management for follow‑up. Oversee ticket issuance and fee collections for cashier and valet operations, and for special events. Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of campus parking areas, daily/monthly parking permit types, and relevant sections of the California Vehicle Code, including current citation descriptions and fees. Provide explanations to customers about citations and offer contesting options.
Operate the mobile license plate recognition enforcement system to ensure accuracy, issue citations and warning notices per departmental expectations, and identify/recommend locations needing additional compliance support. Assist with facility maintenance and cleaning projects, operate university‑assigned vehicles, provide break coverage for cashiers, valets, and enforcement officers, perform as a cashier, valet attendant or enforcement officer as required, assist with jump‑starts and vehicle lockouts, perform ambassador duties, complete administrative duties, conduct monthly inventory of supplies, and provide exceptional customer service.
The final salary and offer amount are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Placement in the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity.
