Job summary

State of Oklahoma's Bernice State Park is seeking a Construction/Maintenance Technician to oversee the Grand Lake lodge facilities, lead maintenance teams, and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work, plus scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination with contractors to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in the building trades or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to perform bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily upkeep and repair of lodge facilities.
• Lead maintenance teams and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks as needed.
• Schedule work, supervise contractors, and maintain records.
• Ensure health and safety standards to prevent guest disruptions.
