Job summary

Hawks Nest State Park, part of the Parks and Recreation division, seeks a Classified-Exempt Maintenance Specialist. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and vehicle repairs across the park’s facilities, including a 30-room hotel, restaurant, pool, and tramway operations.

The incumbent will learn tramway operation, climb towers up to 150 feet, coordinate with the tramway supervisor, and prepare maintenance logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time or equivalent paid experience in building equipment repair including HVAC.
• Specific positions may require EPA-certified refrigerant recycling technician as per Clean Air Act.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, and preventative care of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, and related equipment.
• Operate and support vehicle repair, communication hardware, and building systems.
• Lead projects and work crews; coordinate with contractors and service reps.
• Complete daily maintenance logs and reports; ensure safety standards.
