The Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) is seeking a Paint Supervisor to oversee the painting department, supervise painters, schedule work, and coordinate projects with facilities teams to maintain high standards for all public spaces.

You will ensure safe practices, manage materials, and provide labor and timeline estimates while maintaining CMMS records and adapting to events and guest traffic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years painting experience in commercial or large-facility environments.
• Experience supervising a team of painters and coordinating work schedules.
• Proficiency with CMMS, safety procedures and material management.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate Paint Department activities daily.
• Assign work based on priority, skill, workload, and project needs.
• Develop daily/weekly schedules and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Inspect finished work for prep, finish, and quality standards.
• Maintain inventory of paints, coatings, tools, and supplies.
• Provide labor/material estimates and completion timelines.
• Ensure proper surface preparation and accurate paint application.
• Train and mentor painters in techniques and safety.
• Promote teamwork and address issues in a professional manner.
• Maintain a safe, organized workspace and comply with safety rules.
