Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. is seeking a Lead Packaging Technician for 2nd shift in Chaska, MN. You will act as frontline production lead, guiding daily packaging operations while ensuring cGMP, GDP, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, training technicians, and maintaining packaging equipment such as cartoning, assembler, and sealing lines, with adherence to quality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in medical device/pharma or similarly regulated industry.
• Must have 2+ years of general packaging process experience.
• GMP documentation practices experience required.
• Experience using ERP systems for production transactions and inventory.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• As Lead Packaging Technician, serve as the primary on-floor contact for packaging questions and guidance.
• Coordinate daily workflow to support production schedules and priorities.
• Assist onboarding and training of Packaging Technicians using established methods.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and changeover packaging equipment (cartoning, assembler, sealing).
• Review batch records and GDP-compliant production documentation for accuracy.
• Identify and escalate quality, equipment, or process issues as appropriate.
• Support nonconformance investigations and corrective actions.
• Complete production transactions and inventory-related ERP activities.
• Contribute to work instruction creation and manufacturing documentation.
• Communicate status and concerns with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain safety, quality, and GMP compliance while supporting CI initiatives.
