Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Staff Package Engineer to lead packaging improvement projects across the Diagnostics business, focusing on performance, cost, regulatory compliance, and efficiency. You will partner with Sustainability Package Engineering to align with eco-friendly materials and regulatory standards.

The role requires cross‑functional collaboration, strong project leadership, and experience with biologics packaging. Willingness to travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Package Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in packaging engineering with leadership of development projects.
• Experience with biologics packaging and human factors testing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, processes, equipment and regulatory standards (ASTM/ISO).
• Proficiency with CAD, packaging design validation, and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams to design, test, and deploy packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with Sustainability Package Engineer to align with eco-friendly materials.
• Define and document testing of user requirements and usability inputs.
• Develop and standardize packaging processes and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor packaging performance metrics and report progress to leadership.
• Mentor engineers and cross-functional team members.
