Job summary

Belmark Inc. is seeking a Packaging Application Engineer for our Folding Carton division. You will join a fast-paced, collaborative team dedicated to customers and their successes, while supporting sales with technical expertise and process improvements.

Responsibilities include leading customers in end-use requirements, defining specs, testing materials with suppliers, and ensuring efficient project flow. Occasional overnight travel and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or technology and 3 years of Packaging Application Engineer I experience.
• Ability to quickly learn materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sales team and customers in defining end-use requirements.
• Establish size, shape, design and tooling specs for new opportunities.
• Perform competitive analyses to recommend material and finish options.
• Create and manage material/converting specifications and test methods.
• Process and manage daily project flow with accuracy and speed.
• Test new materials with suppliers and validate in internal and customer processes.
• Support standardization, CAPA resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Assist in solving manufacturing issues and provide technical sales support.
• Occasional overnight travel with or without other company representatives.
