Job summary

Central Valley PACE in Merced, CA is seeking a Personal Care Assistant II for the Day Center. The Lead PCA supports nursing staff by delivering direct patient care and coordinating activities in a geriatric care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CA licensure as CNA/Home Health Aide/EMT/Paramedic or clinical medical assisting certification required.
• Current BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates patient care needs to the LVN and supervising RN.
• Provides direct personal care to participants as directed or assigned.
• Assists in training new hire PCAs and other staff as directed by management.
• Assists with ADLs and IADLs, transfers, and companionship to appointments.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient areas and program spaces.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CA licensure: CNA/Home Health Aide/EMT/Paramedic; or clinical medical assisting certification

Current BLS CPR Card (American Heart Association)
