Job summary

Pike Corporation in Texas is seeking a General Foreman to supervise the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. You will ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule, planning ahead to address issues and meet crew goals.

You will lead and train crews, perform pre-job briefings, install transformers and switches, troubleshoot complex systems and maintain equipment. A CDL and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Rigorous physical labor capability and endurance.
• Ability to identify voltage levels and legible phasing.
• CDL and safe driving experience required.
• Capable of climbing structures and working at heights.
• Travel long distances on short notice as needed.
• Overtime and variable hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction, maintenance and repair of overhead lines to meet safety standards.
• Lead and coordinate crews, plan ahead to meet project goals.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and enforce safe work procedures.
• Install transformers, switches, and related equipment on energized lines.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems and manage fault resolution.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are maintained and compliant with procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and inspect work performed by crew members.
