Position Overview

Role Summary

As a Lead Outside Sales Representative, your primary responsibilities include building and managing a client base through cold calling small to medium-sized businesses. You will master the sales process and then train and mentor new hires while maintaining your own book of business.

Responsibilities
  1. Build Your Business:
    • Develop and maintain a client portfolio, engaging with employees and decision-makers.
    • Conduct cold calls to small and medium-sized businesses as a core sales strategy.
  2. Inspire And Train:
    • Lead in-field training sessions to motivate new recruits and demonstrate effective sales techniques.
    • Meet face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers to offer insurance products and services.
  3. Mentor And Coach:
    • Provide coaching and support to new sales representatives.
    • Help new hires navigate challenges and improve their sales skills.
  4. Connect And Build Relationships:
    • Foster strong client and team relationships.
    • Set follow-up appointments with clients to review their needs.
    • Respond to client emails and calls, and set appointments as needed.
  5. General Duties:
    • Attend scheduled meetings with sales team or manager.
    • Call on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients needing re-service.
    • Manage your schedule and submit hours weekly.
    • Build and maintain your own book of business.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is motivated, dynamic, skilled in face-to-face sales, and able to build lasting client relationships. Leadership skills are essential for training and mentoring new hires.

Additional Qualifications
