Job summary

TekCom Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Outside Plant Engineering Manager to lead the planning, design, and expansion of a fiber-optic network across our service area.

This leadership role requires combining deep OSP engineering expertise with a track record of delivering large-scale fiber projects and coordinating cross-functional teams. You will guide design, staking, permitting, and construction coordination, while driving data integrity with GIS and IT and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Requires strong technical OSP engineering expertise and proven leadership in fiber network expansion.
• Experience managing engineering teams, rural broadband projects, and vendor relationships.
• Ability to coordinate planning, design, staking, permitting, and construction across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of outside plant engineering, from planning to as-built documentation.
• Oversee aerial and underground fiber network design for FTTH, transport, and expansion.
• Review drawings, staking sheets, and cost estimates for accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage contract engineers and construction vendors, including contract coordination and invoicing.
• Support broadband expansion projects tied to state and federal funding.
• Collaborate with GIS/IT to improve data integrity and asset visibility.
• Drive process improvements for scalability, documentation, and operations.
