Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a fiber construction environment.
• Advanced knowledge of network engineering, optical networks, and aerial and underground construction techniques.
• Experience managing outside plant contractors, including quality oversight, invoicing, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage an OSP team; hiring, mentoring, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action as needed.
• Train team members in splicing techniques, troubleshooting, network architecture, and OSP processes.
• Oversee FTTP construction projects including field surveys and cost development for properties, and management of fiber installations.
• Coordinate OSP construction activities using in-house and contract resources; oversee contractors, invoicing, quality, and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and restoration of outside plant; manage system performance and respond to customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and FCC/NCTA regulations; enforce OSP policies.
• Be available 24/7/365, including after-hours and weekend work; support emergencies during disasters and outages.
• Provide administrative and project management support, including reporting and budgeting.
