Job summary

The University of Arizona's Native American Language Center invites applicants for Lead Outreach Coordinator. You will support the Language Center, interact with the Director and grant team, and manage post-award activities for grant programming.

You will coordinate collaborations with tribal partners, advisory boards, and federal funding sources while overseeing communications, reports, and event logistics across multiple programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with grant administration, project management, or similar operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Center Program/Project implementation.
  • Lead and develop planning and evaluation meetings with director and Project Team.
  • Coordinate workshops to respond to tribal language program needs.
  • Develop promotion, marketing and recruitment materials per resources for Center workshop schedule.
  • Coordinate guest speaker series, film and conference events to augment Center workshop schedule.
  • Coordinate logistics related to travel and housing options for workshop facilitators, guest speakers, conference presenters.
  • Act as Center liaison for Native community (communication/logistics planning).
  • Facilitate communication and consultation with Native community to develop workshop content, schedule, materials, and evaluation.
  • Communicate and document center activities including budget management (tracking expenditures and working with the fiscal officer).
  • Coordinate with the COE business office to schedule and pay workshop facilitators and guest speakers.
  • Coordinate supplies & equipment purchases and planning center staff travel.
  • Compile Center activity evaluations and reports and monitor participant/student and other databases.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and university policy guidelines.
  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate financial and progress reports, including federal APRs and required documentation for partner payments.
  • Liaison between the Center and OIE, UA COE grants management, AILDI, and tribal college partners.
