FACETS is seeking an Outreach Case Management Supervisor & Hypothermia Coordinator to oversee shelter operations at Bailey’s Community Shelter in Falls Church, Virginia. You will lead staff, ensure accessible services, and coordinate with community partners to support adults experiencing homelessness.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree, shelter experience during hypothermia season, and strong trauma‑informed practice.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, human services, psychology, or related field.
Experience working in a shelter during hypothermia season is required.
Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, harm reduction, and Housing First principles.
Strong written and verbal communication, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation skills.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Familiarity with HMIS.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and ability to drive a 15‑passenger van.
Must pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the shelter program, including logistics, staffing, and site prep.
Recruit site hosts and coordinate meal provision and drop‑in duties during hypothermia season.
Train seasonal staff and volunteers on health, safety, and trauma‑informed engagement.
