Job summary

MOXTEK in Orem, Utah seeks an engineer to support optics PFA manufacturing and engineering, including design, build, testing, order fulfillment and process improvements. You will create custom assemblies, assess customer drawings, and ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role involves developing new assemblies, managing non-standard orders, and performing failure analysis per MOXTEK standards. On-site presence and collaboration with Sales, Product Management and operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing environment (electronics/ mechanical/ optical/ automation).
• Mechanical aptitude for hardware assembly is required.
• Optics knowledge a plus (polarization, spectrometry, wavefront distortion).

Responsibilities

• Support post-fab production with day-to-day manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Track critical orders and ensure customer requirements are understood.
• Design and optimize new assemblies for key customers with Sales/Product Mgmt.
• Maintain instructions for non-standard orders and substrate/AR coating specs.
• Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and test new assemblies and packaging options.
• Write and maintain operating procedures and related docs.
• On-site presence and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
