Job summary

Fortrea is seeking Ophthalmology Clinical Team Leads for its FSP team, offering remote work in the United States. CTLs own clinical delivery, partnering with PMs and functional leads to ensure successful trials within budget and scope.

The role requires 5+ years of clinical research/monitoring experience and 3+ years leading project teams, with strong knowledge of ICH/GCP and financial acumen. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in life sciences or related field.
• 5+ years clinical research/monitoring experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years leading project teams through start-up, study conduct, data management, analysis and report writing.
• Experience overseeing external vendors (CROs, labs, call centers, DCT providers).
• Working knowledge of ICH Guidelines and GCP.
• Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience managing projects in a matrix/virtual environment.
• Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and inspire teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Drive clinical project performance toward contracted deliverables and customer needs.
• Collaborate with client and project team across a matrixed, multicultural environment.
• Develop clinical project strategy and prioritize with stakeholders; prepare presentations for new business.
• Manage operational aspects to support recruitment, vendor delivery, and monitoring strategy.
• Identify risks using end-to-end risk management and quality by design principles.
• Use data sources, dashboards and risk management to drive proactive problem solving.
• Adhere to governance, SOPs, and regulatory requirements for clinical projects.
• Oversee budgets, resources and scope; forecast revenue and control costs.
