Ecovyst, Inc. in Hammond, IN is seeking a Shift Breaker/Lead Operator to supervise safe, efficient sulfuric acid production and plant operations. The role focuses on monitoring unit parameters and managing feed streams across multiple product grades.

The position emphasizes environment-friendly practices, adherence to permits, and hands-on leadership in a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted.
• Certified vibration analyst I, TIG welding, and a journeyman millwright.
• DCS operation/PLC operation.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
• Demonstrated safe behavior and ability to follow procedures.
• Proven knowledge of pressures, process flows, and temperature.

Responsabilidades

• Perform the LOTO for all of the unit’s maintenance items.
• Attend and contribute to regular monthly safety meetings.
• Implement the STOP WORK POLICY.
• Review, follow, and in some cases write job procedures.
• Report and mitigate any leaks, spills, or fugitive emissions.
• Perform inspections on all equipment and log the findings of those inspections.
• Comply with the CAR SEAL PROGRAM.
• Maintaining unit parameters according to all unit permits.
• Work in 12-hour rotating shifts.
