Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials, located in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a dedicated operator to join our process environment. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts and active participation in 5S and continuous improvement activities.

You will monitor controllers and recorders, respond to emergencies, and help maintain safe, efficient plant operations. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with OSHA/PSM-style controls, and collaboration with a skilled team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Valid driver's license required.
• TWIC Card eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in continuous improvement events and 5S activities.
• Observes data from controllers and recorders to troubleshoot equipment.
• Redirects or shuts off feeder lines during emergencies.
• Performs routine inspections and records operating data.
• Makes minor repairs to operating equipment as needed.
• Follows established plant procedures and updates operating procedures as needed.
• Assists in emergency brigade duties and safety-related tasks.
• Hazardous waste sampling, packaging, labeling and response to spills.
