Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Lead Operator to guide flow and process within the work center, coaching the team on continuous improvement and helping embrace change. You will work with Team Leader, Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Supply Chain to keep production running safely, on schedule, and to specification.

You will build product to design using work instructions, coordinate daily production planning to meet takt and MO delivery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use judgment to escalate issues and implement solutions.
• Technical troubleshooting across process, equipment, and product.
• Proven ability to contribute to problem-solving and apply tools.
• Ability to train others and transfer knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use Watlow Business System and WW Leader Behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Build product to design and audit standard work in assigned area.
• Update daily production plan to meet takt and MO delivery with quality product.
• Coach and mentor cell team members for training and development.
• Lead Gemba walks and follow up on actions related to cell improvement and standard work.
• Follow Andon process and SOP for Lead Operator role.
• Verify daily 6S and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
• Communicate with Team Leader about problems and concerns.
• Ensure training records for Work Cell are complete and retained.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure inventory accuracy.
