Job summary

Watlow, a global technology and manufacturing leader, is seeking a Lead Operator for our Hannibal, Missouri facility. You will guide flow and process in your work center, coaching the team on continuous improvement and collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Supply Chain to keep production safe, on schedule, and to specification.

You will build product to design using work instructions, coordinate daily production planning to meet takt, and lead Gemba walks, 6S,

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Ability to use judgment to escalate issues and implement solutions within area of responsibility.
• Technical troubleshooting across process, equipment, and product.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to problem-solving activities and apply tools/techniques across multiple work areas.
• Ability to train others on specific skills and transfer knowledge between situations.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills with credibility.

Responsibilities

• Build product to design using work instructions and standards and audit standard work.
• Update daily production plan to meet takt and MO delivery requirements.
• Coach and mentor cell team members in training and on-the-job learning.
• Lead Gemba walks and follow up on actions related to cell improvement and standard work.
• Follow the Andon process and SOP for Lead Operator.
• Verify daily 6S and ensure a safe, healthy work environment for all team members.
• Communicate with Team Leader on problems and concerns.
• Ensure training records for the Work Cell are complete and retained.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure inventory accuracy.
