Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects for next-generation sortation and distribution systems. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, manage schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure on-time delivery of engineering deliverables.

Role requires 75% travel domestically and readiness to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Ideal candidates have a strong background in industrial/ manufacturing engineering and experience with automated

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
4+ years in industrial/operations/manufacturing engineering roles.
Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging tech and storage solutions.
Intermediate proficiency: AutoCAD, VBA, SQL.

Responsibilities

Lead lifecycle of cross-functional projects for material handling and distribution systems.
Participate in engineering reviews and stakeholder alignment.
Set priorities, milestones, and schedules with internal/external teams.
Oversee installation, qualifications, and system handovers.
Document decisions, risks, and status updates for leadership.
