Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects in fulfillment and distribution. You will drive the lifecycle of complex material handling and automation systems, coordinating with internal teams and external partners while maintaining schedules and budgets.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial or manufacturing engineering, knowledge of MHE and automated systems, and travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial/operations/manufacturing engineering
• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE)
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems and storage solutions
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL
• Willingness to travel up to 75% nationwide

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects from initiation to delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to set milestones and schedules.
• Lead system designs, equipment installation, throughput and safety qualifications.
• Communicate project status and risk mitigation plans to leadership.
• Document decisions and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
• Identify and drive process improvements across engineering and operations.
