Job summary

Mercury is building a centralized Operational Risk program to provide Board-level visibility into risk, control effectiveness, and regulatory readiness. You will own and shape the program as Mercury progresses toward broader risk governance.

You will collaborate with Compliance, InfoSec, and 1LOD teams to firm up standards, metrics, and KRIs, while driving timely issue remediation and reporting for leadership and the Board.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operational risk, compliance, or internal audit at a bank or fintech partnered with a bank.
• Hands-on ownership of an issues management or operational event program, including severity rating, escalation, and validation of remediation.
• Experience administering a GRC platform (LogicGate, Archer, or similar), including workflow configuration and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Set the risk and control assessment standard and challenge first-line RCMs.
• Oversee the operational event program and trend events across the enterprise.
• Own the centralized issues management program from intake to remediation closure.
