Job summary

AECOM seeks a Construction Manager Lead to guide federal facility recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii, from assessment through construction. Expect onsite presence in Kauai; role includes directing managers, coordinating engineers and subcontractors, and maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and cost targets.

Initial field evaluations may identify damaged structures and utilities; subsequent work includes weatherproofing, debris removal, and permanent repairs. Per diem may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field; 10+ years leading complex facility/infrastructure construction and repair programs; 2+ years in leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records check.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite construction management across facility repairs, building envelope restoration, utilities, and related infrastructure work.
• Translate assessment findings into executable scopes, sequencing plans, and construction priorities.
• Direct construction managers and coordinate engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, budget, and progress and resolve issues that threaten delivery.
• Review construction plans, submittals, RFIs, change proposals, and field documentation.
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and recovery actions to internal and federal project stakeholders.
