Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Lead Study Coordinator to manage oncology clinical trials. The role entails directing patient care, coordinating study activities, and ensuring regulatory compliance under Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you will train staff, support protocol execution, and oversee data integrity across multiple trials in a fast-paced environment at UNC’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP, Federal Regulations and Guidelines and ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocols.
• Advanced knowledge of clinical research coordination.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate oncology clinical trials through protocol life cycles from activation to closure.
• Lead patient care and provide team leadership and guidance to staff.
• Provide training and first-line support for staff and new hires.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety in research activities.
• Contribute to reporting and SOP development.
