Job summary

The UNC Chapel Hill unit is seeking a Temporary Study Coordinator to independently coordinate and manage oncology clinical trials across study lifecycles. This on-site role partners with Principal Investigators, sponsors, and clinical teams to ensure adherence to protocol requirements, GCP, and regulatory standards.

The role requires direct patient interaction and coordination across UNC Medical Center, UNC-Chapel Hill campus locations, and affiliated clinics, with potential evenings or weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related scientific, healthcare, or research discipline.
• Experience coordinating oncology clinical trials preferred.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and FDA regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple trials independently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage multiple oncology clinical trials from startup through closeout.
• Identify, screen, recruit, and enroll eligible participants; obtain informed consent.
• Enter study data into EDC/CRF; maintain source documentation, logs and tracking tools.
• Coordinate collection, processing, storage and shipment of biospecimens; ensure compliance with biohazard procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, IRB requirements and sponsor guidelines.
• Support study financials, billing calendars and participant reimbursements; coordinate EMR/Epic entries.
• Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, research staff, nursing teams and clinics; assist in training staff.
