Job summary

Dukes Properties & Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for residential development projects across North Carolina. You will act as the on-site General Contractor, coordinating subcontractors, safety, schedule, and quality to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The position emphasizes hands-on field leadership, proactive problem solving, and strong communication with homeowners, investors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential construction experience.
• 3+ years managing construction projects.
• Experience with renovations, additions, and new construction.
• Strong understanding of the North Carolina Residential Building Code.
• Experience coordinating inspections and permitting.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple active construction projects across development stages.
• Oversee ground-up residential construction, renovations, land development, and value-add redevelopment.
• Lead field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure schedule and quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; coordinate trades to minimize downtime.
• Monitor labor, material costs, change orders, and project profitability.
• Maintain project documentation via daily logs, photos, change orders, and reports.
• Communicate updates to ownership and project teams; ensure safety and compliance.
