Job summary

Ideal Building Solutions in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced project leader to run on-site roofing operations on a 30 days on-site / 5 days off rotation. This full-time travel role requires coordinating crews, managing safety, and ensuring quality across data centers and warehouses.

You will drive daily plans, monitor production to milestones, enforce standards, and report progress using Procore and Smartsheets.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in commercial roofing, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience working with data centers, warehouses, freezer/cold storage, manufacturing facilities, and reroofing projects is highly preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred (required during training process).
• Proven ability to manage on-site field teams, enforce standards, and drive accountability.
• Extensive experience with Roofing Manufacturing details and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site roofing operations from mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate daily work plans, task assignments, and crew leadership.
• Monitor production to meet schedule milestones and daily goals.
• Enforce OSHA safety policies and conducts Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection; take corrective action on safety violations.
• Oversee installation to align with drawings and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with field team to conduct quality checks and document evidence (photos).
• Collaborate with Preconstruction/QC teams to support inspections and approvals.
• Submit accurate daily reports and maintain field logs.
