Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Lead Occupational Therapist to oversee evaluation and care for diverse patient populations. You will work closely with patients to restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health, serving as a clinical resource for staff.

Clinical leadership and collaboration with physicians, patients and families are essential to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Tennessee.
• OT degree (BS/MS/OTD) from accredited program.
• BLS certification required; two years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and follow-up reassessments according to policy.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with patients, families and care teams to optimize patient experience and outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency with occupational therapy modalities and interventions.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate evaluation and care for patient populations served in his/her department. Therapist works closely with patients to restore, maintain, and promote their overall fitness and health.

What you will do in this role:

• You will perform appropriate assessment on each patient, as related to the therapy requested and provides reassessment per policy
• You will serve as a clinical resource for staff
• You will Holds staff accountable for positive customer service behaviors. Collaborates with staff, physicians, patients, and families to promote a positive patient experience
• You will demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of occupational therapy modalities (certified to perform modalities)

What qualifications you will need:

• Demonstrated experience with each of the required areas of expertise in section I
• BS, MS or OTD in Occupational Therapy and current Tennessee licensure
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with: Patients, staff, physicians and Third Party Payers
• BLS certification required
• Prior leadership experience preferred Minimum of two years of clinical experience
