Humana seeks an expert Lead Software Engineer in a remote-first role with commutable access to designated IT locations. You will architect and evolve our observability and logging platforms, mentor engineers, and collaborate with SRE, Security, Networking, and Data Science teams to drive AI-enabled reliability at scale.

Ideal candidates bring deep expertise in open telemetry, log ingestion, and event correlation, plus hands-on experience with Splunk Cloud Enterprise or Dynatrace.

Formación

• 7+ years in software/infrastructure engineering with observability/logging focus.
• 3+ years hands-on observability design and engineering solution.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with AI development (not an end user of AI).
• 2+ years hands-on experience developing data logging solutions.
• 2+ years Automation experience.
• 2+ years maturing/scaling observability.
• Strong foundation in operating systems, networking, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• Agile delivery experience and observability maturity.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and optimize observability environments; implement software engineering best practices.
• Build automation scripts and tools to streamline observability instrumentation and deployment.
• Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines using IaC and configuration management tools.
• Conduct observability code reviews and implement automated validation checks.
• Build AI-native tools for autonomous issue detection and resolution.
• Lead the design of distributed systems focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines to align strategies with business goals.
• Communicate technical insights to leadership.
