Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all departmental functions in line with hospital mission and goals.
• Identifies cost-effective systems to support the department and business needs.
• Establishes effective relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
• Develops a care plan based on RN assessment and reassessment.
• Maintains qualifications to function as staff nurse in L&D during high census or low staffing.
