Job summary

INPO External seeks a seasoned professional to lead operational evaluations for nuclear power stations, coordinating with utilities, INPO/WANO management, and industry groups. The role demands strong data-driven decision making, top-tier communication, and travel to sites domestically and internationally.

The candidate will drive evaluation, alignment of strategies, and cross-functional team leadership with a focus on safety and performance in operator fundamentals and focus areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• SRO certification or Navy equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physical sciences (preferred)
• Navy nuclear training (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the Operations evaluator on WANO peer reviews as described in the WANO-AC Manual for Conducting Peer Reviews.
• Lead Operations evaluator for baseline interactions and visits supporting continuum activities per the WANO-AC Performance Continuum Manual.
• Identify and analyze problems with plant operations.
• Assess plant performance in the operator fundamentals and operational focus areas.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of utility personnel, including operations management.
• Lead the facilitation of plant operations working meetings.
• Lead in evaluation, assistance and management of plant operations initiatives.
• Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally to visit nuclear sites and other locations.
