Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service seeks a Field Operations Supervisor for our Montgomery County grinding operations facility in Derwood, MD. The role plans, coordinates and directs daily operations, supervising night shifts and heavy equipment use to process brush and yard waste.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with supervisory experience or six years in related heavy equipment roles. OSHA 10 training and strong communication are needed; valid license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year supervisory experience.
• 6 years' experience operating heavy equipment.
• Lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct daily facility operations.
• Night shift supervision of grinding operations.
• Operate heavy equipment to process brush and yard waste.
• Maintain records and report to site management.
