Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to perform respiratory therapy and diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.

The role may serve as Lead RCP during a shift, under the medical director and cardiopulmonary leadership. Candidates must hold an active RCP license, NBRC credential (RRT), and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; ACLS and PALS must be current or obtained within the specified period.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the NBRC or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• BLS certified from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider.
• May be assigned as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.
