Job summary

Required licenses and certifications include an active State RCP license, NBRC RRT or eligibility, BLS and ACLS at hire with maintenance, and PALS or timely acquisition. Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• State RCP license required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care with attention to age and population needs.
• May be designated as Lead RCP and supervise the section/department during the shift.

Education

State RCP license

NBRC RRT certification or within 3 months of hire

BLS certification

ACLS certification

PALS certification

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

Two years acute care experience preferred
