Job summary

IonQ, based in Bothell, WA, seeks a customer-obsessed product manager to own a next-generation hardware program within the Quantum Computing portfolio. You will align market readiness with product readiness, partnering with engineering, R&D, sales, and marketing to define roadmap, go-to-market plans, and successful launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical product management with exposure to hardware-software co-development or scientific instrumentation.
• Direct experience with Quantum Computing, Quantum Information Science, and/or AMO Physics.
• Experience turning research-grade technologies into productized offerings for customers.
• World-class written and verbal communication, able to convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Self-starting leader in ambiguous, challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand the market and build a strong point of view about customers and future needs.
• Immerse in hardware roadmap, system software, experimental capabilities, and R&D; build relationships with engineering leads.
• Define and align: ensure milestones and capabilities are clearly tied to business outcomes across teams.
• Deliver: define product value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across sales and marketing.
• Learn and iterate: gather feedback from customers and scientists to guide next-generation design.
