Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group in Longview, TX is seeking a Lead Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screenings and educate parents in the hospital setting. This on-site role supports a Site Supervisor and ensures accurate screening processes and timely reporting.

You will train new technicians, coordinate schedules, and maintain equipment and compliance with hospital standards. The position requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
• Occasional 10% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss in hospital setting.
• Provide parent education about screening results and next steps.
• Collect patient data and ensure accurate documentation.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Lead resource for designated hospital locations and onboarding.
• Coordinate scheduling in collaboration with Site Supervisor.
• Maintain equipment readiness and troubleshoot basic issues.
