Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking an EEG Technologist to join the Neurodiagnostic team, setting up patients with equipment to monitor and record brain waves for physicians' assessments.

The role involves supporting management, ensuring quality procedures, and collaborating with front-line staff to drive continuous improvement within Butterworth Hospital's neurodiagnostic program; 40 hours weekly, full time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred associate's degree or neurodiagnostic certification.
• Minimum 3 years of neurodiagnostic experience.
• ABRET EEG technologist (R.EEG.T) certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Support management in oversight and completion of neurodiagnostic procedures and patient care across service lines.
• Provide leadership and act as a liaison between front-line staff and management to drive continuous improvement in the neurodiagnostic program.

About the unit

The Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Assistants. These individuals work together to set up patients with appropriate equipment, allowing for monitoring and recording of electrical activity of a patient's brain waves. This in turn allows us to provide physicians proof of any brain abnormalities. The team provides support for Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan and 35 Michigan.

Scope of work

Supports management in the oversight and completion of quality neurodiagnostic procedures and patient care throughout all service lines. Provides leadership and accountability within the front-line team to support their daily needs and growth. Acts as a collaborative support line between the front-line and management teams to provide continuous improvement to the neurodiagnostic program.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Associate's Degree or equivalent Neurodiagnostic Certification or Associates Program
• 3 years of relevant experience Progressively increased responsibility in performing neurodiagnostic procedures Required
• 3 years of relevant experience Skills, knowledge, and abilities typically gained through experience at facilities of comparable services to Corewell Health and other NAEC Level IV Epilepsy Centers. Required
• CRT-Electroencephalographic Technologist, Registered (R.EEG.T) - ABRET American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist Upon Hire required
• AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire required
