Corewell Health Neurosciences is seeking a Psychotherapist to collaborate with Neurology teams in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on providing psychotherapy to patients with functional neurologic disorders, including epilepsy and movement disorders, with emphasis on trauma-focused approaches and CBT/DBT.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy to epilepsy, non-epileptic seizures, and functional movement disorder patients.
• Provide consultations and therapy through Integrated Medical Team.
• Conduct pre-surgical consults and primarily 85–90% therapy with 10% surgical/EMU consults for stress reduction.
• Collaborate with LMSWs and clinical social workers; Virtual Hybrid work option available.

Corewell Health Neurosciences is recruiting for a Psychotherapist to work alongside our Neurologists and Advanced Practice Providers within our Epilepsy and Movement spaces to provider psychotherapy to patients with functional neurologic disorders.

The role entails providing consultation services and therapy primarily to Epileptic and non-Epileptic seizure patients, as well as patients with functional movement disorders. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in Trauma therapy along with knowledge and use of CBT & DBT.

Will work with Integrated Medical Team providing consults and therapy with primarily to Epileptic and non-Epileptic seizures and functional movement patients. We are looking for someone with experience in Trauma therapy along with knowledge and use of CBT & DBT.

• Pre surgical consults
• 85-90% therapy and 10% consults EMU/ and surgical consults - for stress reduction and therapy
• Two LMSW's and one clinical Social Worker
