FedPoint is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to lead critical networking initiatives and help shape a secure, high performing infrastructure across both on premises and cloud environments. This position is going to be 51% on prem network and 49% AWS cloud networking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of network engineering in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC (infrastructure as code).
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, BGP, and VPNs.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead network architecture initiatives across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Own and resolve network outages with root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
• Design, implement, and support secure networking solutions (firewalls, segmentation, load balancing).
• Manage AWS cloud networking components and support cloud migrations.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Monitor network performance, develop alerting, and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce NIST/HIPAA standards.
• Lead projects from planning through execution and drive improvements.
• Collaborate across infrastructure, cloud, and systems teams.
